The home encourage and facilities metal, physical and emotional stimulation for all its service user, through varied activities, pet therapy and family events.


Breakfast is served in the service user’s room or in the dining room, if preferred. The menus are created with input from the service users, enabling them to choose the dishes they would like to eat.

The menus are as varied as possible. Food for the residents is carefully planned to meet their personal needs and menus are varied to make maximum use of fresh seasonal produce. The evening meals are at the request of the service users.

Those service users who have special dietary requirements, such as a diabetic diet, are also catered for.


All the service users in the home are registered with the local GP who attends the home. Choices of two local GP’s are available to the service users. The chiropodist, district nurse, optician and dentist’s services are available when required. The home also a hairdresser who visits fortnightly to attend to the service users needs.


The Home Manager and Staff create a structured plan of activities which is aimed at stimulating their bodies and minds; keeping in mind their tastes and preferences. For those who don’t like participating in group activities, one to one sessions are arranged with them to pursue activities of their choice or just to have an enjoyable chat.

The home also has visits from entertainers who come to the home to revive old memories through via their music; taking the service users through their favourite songs and memories associated with them.
